A rant has been building up inside of me and today's the day it boils over. I am sick to death of the global warming panic and the utter ridiculousness of it all.
Fact: the earth goes through hot and cold periods. It happened long before we had factories or cars or any of the pollutants we humans have added.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying we haven't treated the planet like a toilet; we have. But why not just say "hey, we're trying to clean up our planet" instead of INVENTING some panic and then further adding to the invention by creating "legitimized" reasons for doing what you claim is horrendous.
To me the big hypocrisy is the concept of carbon offsets. It allows pompous a** like Al Gore to continue spewing waste into the atmosphere by pretending to do anything good. It's like claiming you are on a missing to eat more healthy and to ban anything fattening, but then eating a whole pie and say you've offset your calorie footprint by eating the equivalent weight in carrots. What a crock!
So how about we stop wasting money or time on listening the the continuous stream of hot, poisonous gasses from hypocrites and start each doing our own thing to clean things up. Little things like not throwing cigarettes out the car window, or throwing trash into the street. Or taking used motor oil to the local auto parts store for recycling instead of jamming it into a storm drain.
Am I the perfect conservationist? Far from it! At least I'm not a hypocrite or Chicken Little.
